It's getting to be that time of the year...

For my favorite sample sale!! I'm keeping my ear to the ground, and I'm starting to get nervous. Twice a year, my beautiful addiction, DvF, has a sample sale. I hit up the one in summer, and boy did baby do good. However - the winter one is usually around this time - in about a week or so.. Yet I haven't heard any rumblings or received my usual flyer in the mail, and I'm getting antsy. I need a winter wrap dress, badddlyyy. I realized all of the wrap dresses I have have a significant amount of white in them, so that ix-nays them for anything too far past September. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting, and wishing, and hoping!

But speaking of outrageous bargains, I found this at Delias of all places! AMAZING!

Hooded Toggle Coat with Thinsulate, on sale for $89.50!!!! Also comes in grey and yellow!
Encroyable! I would totally buy this if I hadn't just bought a different toggle coat.. Can't really justify two navy blue toggle coats in my life.. but definitely thinking about this as a gift!

Also in the outerwear department, I just bought this at American Eagle and I am in LOVE with it! They were flying off the rack so I would advise to buy fast - it is super snuggly (made of sweatshirt material, but very heavy and warm) and looks amazing on:

Peacoat Hoodie
($79.50)
Now, to go under my new snuggly peacoat sweatshirt, I think you all know by now my extreme affinity for logo tees.. Weeelll - Delias also has some great deals on tees, if you buy two they give you $10 off! Which means, if I buy all of the following, then I'll get $20 off... hmmmm... Most of these are made by DOE, who has the best fitting tees...

Madeleine 2 Straight Lines ($24.50)
I Am Lisa ($24.50)
Lucy Loves Schroder ($24.50)

Sketchy Pooh
($24.50)

Now, t-shirts are all fine and good, but we all know that this is party season - in NYC at least, all these benefits and charity blah blah blahs are getting into full swing - and I'm running out of things to wear that classify as "festive". I HATE that dress code "festive dress". One of these days I'm going to go dressed as a christmas tree. Festive enough for ya?

As an alternative to both a christmas tree costume and the go-to little black dress:

Madison Marcus Strapless Mini ($260) OBSESSED with the color!

Satin Peep Toe Pump from Forever 21 ($18.80) (also comes in black)

And also from Forever 21:

Eleanor Sequined Dress
($27.80)

Mike & Chris Aldernon Clutch in White Gold ($265) I like clutches that aren't rigid - that way you can stuff as many things in as possible!

Last but not least - cute small gift ideas for stocking stuffers or Secret Santa:

Flower Desk Fan ($17) because we all know that the office thermostat does not always jive with our personal one...
And these three items from Intuition for the girl in your life who is constantly traveling:

Clever Luggage Tags ($12)

Metallic Bikini Travel Bag
($20)
Lingerie Travel Bag ($34)

Mile High Cell Phone/Blackberry Charger from Kitson ($24)
Borat Touristic Guide Book ($24.95)

Itsa nice, I like!!!!!!

Happy Gobble Gobble!

On a quick serious note, I'd like to say that I am thankful for Thanksgiving. In this day and age of fast food (in every sense of the word), cell phones, and living modern life at breakneck speed - I am thankful for this nationwide holiday that allows us to all sit down, slow down, eat a home-cooked meal, and be with our families.

Toggles are my anti-drug..

This is my brain. This is my brain thinking about all things toggle. Ok, so I know I already bought a toggle coat in my last post, but I'm really kinda becoming obsessed. I even have the Boyfriend on the bandwagon. It's really a problem. I go into stores, I look at things, and then, out of the corner of my eye, I'll see one of those beautiful little oblong toggles attached to something, ANYTHING, hell it could even be a pair of socks, and the next thing I know I hear the register close and I'm on the street. Toggle blackouts, it's not good folks.

Let's start out with an item for the members of the male species:

Banana Republic Toggle Coat ($350)
YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY. And so affordable - granted, I've seen other toggle coats, but they are all up to about a grand... I'm pushing this on the Boyfriend, full speed ahead.

Next up, I know it's a little loud and a little bright, but I think it's fun - and it's always good to have colors in the middle of drab black-brown-grey winters:

Le Tigre Rainbow Toggle Sweater at Fred Flare ($88)

Now a find from Abercrombie (I must say, they have good coats)

Naomi Coat ($228)

A very affordable, very cute option from Old Navy -

Toggle Sweater ($34.50)

And my next favorite, from Dakota Martin:

Mills Poncho
($189.75)

I would have this already, but I can't decide which color I like best!!

Okay, I'm done with toggles. I'll just sit here and twitch for a while and discuss all things non-toggle.

Continuing with Dakota Martin, take a look at this blazer - it comes in Navy, which is the color I'm coveting:

Coulson Blazer
($220)

Yet another shirt I desperately want Boyfriend to have and wear:

Fred Flare Charlie Brown Tee ($28)

Also a cozy hat from FF:

Grey Chunky Knit Newsboy ($22)
Along the lines of cable knit, here are the cutest flats from Old Navy:

Cable Knit Ballet Flats ($19.50)
And, to save up for all these purchases:

Kitchy Coin Purse from Intuition ($18)
And, to keep warm and cozy on these frigid fall nights (besides a toggle coat)

the cute Campfire Candle Holder from FredFlare ($18)

And remember kids - do toggles, not drugs.

Team Stiletto!

I am waging a war. A war against clunky, dumb looking stacked heels. I mean honestly, who does this look good on? Chyna? Brooke Hogan? The shoes this season are so klutzy looking, with these giant ugly heels. I'm sorry, but I'll take my shoes with a side of femininity, please. The heels don't have to be sky-high, but can't they be pretty? And not look like they were made for a transvestite clown?

On the same shoe note, I am also not the biggest fan of the whole "bootie" craze for this season *insert screams from diehard fashionistas here*. BUT - that being said, I did find a FABULOUS bootie that I am obsessed with, that I also just got on SALE!

Nine West Naples Bootie
(on sale for $70)
They also come in black, also on sale for $70 - and since I bought two pairs in the store, I got an additional 20% off! Cha-ching! They look terrific with skinny jeans (CANNOT deal with the bootie+skirt look) and actually are very comfortable..

My next purchase today was a definite steal - I had a 15% off coupon from American Eagle Outfitters and I decided to pop in for a look around - wow, am I glad I did. THIS is what I picked up:

AE Navy Toggle Coat ($139.50)
I can't tell you how well this coat fits! It's almost like it was tailored.. and for $140 for a toggle coat, it's a pretty good deal!

I don't actually have a ton of monogram stuff (shocking, I know) and my monogram necklace is my staple Elsa Peretti initial. BUT - these necklaces from Intuition are pretty cute -

Kacey K. Monogram Necklace ($338 - $620)

As always, I love me some argyle, especially this new sweater vest from Vineyard Vines:

Aquinnah Sweater Vest ($98)

Now this brings me to my Vineyard Vines enigma - there is a magical mystery tote that exists on the website, but I can't find it anywhere! It's the patchwork tote in the below photo (I want I want I want!):
but under the "Totes and Wristlet: New Arrivals" column it isn't there. BOO!

Speaking of "boo", I'll leave you all with something from Kitson that will turn all your boo-boos into bad-ass..

Tattoo Bandage Assortment ($6.95)

I'm back my lovelies..

I've been away for far too long and I won't bore you all with the excuses. Although (just this one) my computer is on it's last legs and frankly I can't afford to buy one at the moment... Because I have to buy boots instead.. ahem... Well summer has turned to fall (I think? It was 73 degrees yesterday...) and with fall comes fall clothing.. which at this rate I will be wearing in January!

Anyway - here are some recent internet items I stumbled upon, in no particular order:

From The Outfitters for Urbanites:
Wool Camden Blazer ($200) Pair this with skinny black jeans and a ruffled button-down, and you've got Ralph Lauren Black Label on the cheap!

Lux Exeter Blazer ($68) Love this - dress it up or make it punky with a graphic tee..

Spiewak Helena Cape
($150) Old school but fun... I wish it came in more colors!

Lux Layered V Neck Tank
($48) Being that I tend to be lazy, I like it when outfits are already chosen for me. LOVE this. (vest is attached to the tank)

Up next, Pink Mascara:

Mike and Chris Colton Jacket ($242) The comfyness of a sweatshirt, but so much chicer...

Dolce Vita Sass Suede Boot
($132) So cute and surprisingly affordable!

Also from Dolce Vita, but found at Intuition are these Moccasin Boots ($106).. Not sure why they're called that since they don't look like mocs, but I think they are v. nice flat boots..

Also in the flat boot category, these Ritte riding boots ($99.95) from Steve Madden - saw a girl try them on in the store, they are deceivingly flattering:
Awhile back, I got a very cute change purse from CKBradley. I wished they had made the pattern into clothing, and lo and behold, my wish has come true! Love the skirt:

Palmetto Skirt ($198)
On a final note, I am seriously disappointed in the handbags this season. I feel like most of the designers have regurgitated old designs in new colors and fabrics. Not cutting it, at all. Very upset. Something better change soon or I'm going to file a complaint with Marc Jacobs. In the meantime, this D&G Buckle Bag ($1,350) isn't bad but I'm not jumping up and down about it.

On that note, I'm off to get some beauty sleep and dream about new handbags that haven't been designed yet. More posts to come, promise!

Love you all like Britney loves her Cheetos..
